My research focuses on the design, implementation, and study of search interfaces. I am interested in talking about complex search tasks, advanced information seeking behaviours, and how search interfaces beyond the simple query box and ten blue links can support academic search activities.
Working with a former graduate student, we have recently started a company that provides an academic digital library search interface layer to support cross-session cross-device searching. Dilex Search provides advanced search functionality including task management across devices, search activity visualization, and interactive workspaces.
